"Embrace each challenge in your life as an opportunity for self-transformation"
My role is Head of Equities IT. In this position, I am responsible for both the operational stability and further development of the technology underpinning the equities business within Capital Markets.
I believe that success begins with establishing a high performing team, This means that I am focused on hiring the best candidates and creating a positive team atmosphere.
One of my main goals is also to optimise the collaboration with business, ensuring that we all work as One Nordea Team in order to contribute in maintaining our business positions as “Number one Equities house in the Nordics”. This entails continued focus on improving the way we run our daily work e.g. through Agile methodologies, morning meetings, effective monitoring tools etc. We constantly have a focus on monitoring and maintaining the systems required by the business areas in their daily work, aiming to constantly improve their operational stability.
Prior to joining Nordea, I worked as a team leader and project manager at IBM Denmark. My career in Capital Markets IT started in Aug 2009 as a project manager of projects in Equities Sales and Research and later within Equity Trading. In May 2013, I became responsible for the Equities IT projects portfolio, my main responsibility being to plan for the different portfolio initiatives in terms of resources and budget in order to best achieve the business targets.
On 1 June 2014 I was appointed Head of Equities IT, leading a strong team of senior IT analysts and developers, enabling and supporting the Equities business in its daily operations.
Outside my job
I have a passion for travelling and exploring new things. I also love skiing and practice yoga when the time between work and family allows it.
The best thing about being here
For me, atmosphere is an essential part of work when I am in the office. I am lucky to work in an international environment and to be surrounded by very professional colleagues that I can learn from.
I thrive trying to improve things and processes, and this position gives me plenty of opportunities to do so.
